Otiende speaking on Tuesday during an interview with NTV , said unless Kenyans learn to be accommodative to others, the country may never realize the development it yearns for.

He said the country's main problems which have clawed back development since independence are impunity as well as the absence of unity.

"I agree with [Kiambu Senator Kimani] Wamatangi, there are two problems facing this country: first is impunity and the second one is the absence of cohesion and nationalism," he said during the live interview.

He said the day Kenyans will overcome the problem of cohesion and the day the country's leadership will fight impunity is the time the country will take off for "proper development".
