Kidero was on the spot after he allegedly slapped former Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh at his City Hall office.

It was on 6 September 6, 2013, when the former governor slapped Shebesh who had allegedly stormed his office.

Shebesh had allegedly stormed into Kidero’s office in protest over the county workers strike.

Kidero in a clip that went viral was seen slapping the former vocal Nairobi Women Rep.

The ugly incident almost brought Kidero’s career to an end and was condemned by women politicians and gender activists.

The former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko ordered for a probe into the incident but the investigation report was never revealed.

Shebesh filed an assault complaint against Kidero to the police but later withdrew it and reconciled with the former governor.
