Appeals court decision to uphold Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter's victory could spark a revolution that would destabilize DP William Ruto's dominance in Rift Valley, Nyachieo Bogonko has said.
Justice Erastus Githinji reversed High Court's ruling on Wednesday, precipitating celebrations in the streets of Eldoret town.
"Cartels were working hard to have me thrown out. I cannot bow down to somebody as long as people are on my side," warned Keter.
In March when Justice Kanyi Kimondo nullified his victory, Keter openly blamed Deputy President for his woes and promised to fight back.
And the Kisii University don now says Keter, Silas Tiren, Kangongo Bowen and Johanna Ng'eno could prove costly for Ruto if he does not 'tame' them.
"I am seeing a revolution in the Rift. The DP could be the causality because these young MPs seems to be directly connected to people.
"His victory could popularize him. Ruto now needs to reconcile with him and the team. They are fiercely defending farmers which is also a plus for them," he said in an interview.
A section of Jubilee MPs led by Shadrack Mose (Kitutu Masaba) and former area MP Walter Nyambati have already sent their congratulatory message to Keter.
Despite being in Jubilee, the rebel MPs are said to be pushing for Gideon Moi's bid, a move that could further destabilize Ruto.
