Former President Daniel Arap Moi's Kabarak meeting with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi got tongues wagging with many speculating that the duo (Joho and young Moi) has been anointed to battle it out with Deputy President William Ruto in the 2022 State House race. If the meeting had anything to do with the next presidential race and that the two politicians who harbour Presidential ambitions face off with the DP, then they may carry the day. Why?

Long considered ODM leader Raila Odinga's heir apparent, Joho cuts an image of a national figure with a huge following in the former Prime Minister's strongholds.

On the other hand, riding on his father's big political name, the Baringo Senator doesn't need introduction. So, in terms of fame that is so much needed of a politician, the duo score highly.

Then there is a financial aspect of running for presidency. Can they mount a multi billion campaign to popularize their bid? Yes. The two leaders are understood to have deeper pockets. And considering the role money plays in Kenyan politics, once again, Joho and Moi are well covered.

Besides that, Joho and Moi have  an unblemished reputation in as far as corruption is concerned. As such, their candidature can easily be sold out to the electorate.
