Sisibo Cultural Festival set to take place in Eldoret town this December has been unveiled.
Speaking during the official launch of the festival, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago noted that culture plays a pivotal role in bringing cohesion, integration, and inclusivity, thus bringing a united and prosperous society.
“This event will bring on board all tribes to showcase their culture because the culture is the greatest tool to bring people together. Let us leave politics aside and enjoy our culture," Mandago said.
The Sisibo cultural festival will run from 9th to 13th of December at the Teachers Advisory Center(TAC) in Eldoret town where over 20,000 guests from all tribes are expected to attend.
The county boss urged residents to attend the event in large numbers.
"We are proud to be hosting all the diverse ethnicity within our county. This festival will take a good place in bringing these cultures together," he noted while pointing out that the festival is the most innovative initiative that will create communities by appreciating their diverse cultures.
Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno on his part said that the event will help build a strong society as well as showcase the sweetness of all Kenyans living in the county.
