Former Presidential candidate Abuduba Dida has launched a scathing attack at Jubilee Candidate for the Kibra by-election McDonald Mariga hours to the opening of the polling stations. In a tweet, Dida said that Mariga is a nonstarter.
He opined that he wishes ODM candidate Imran Okoth and Ukweli Party candidate Editar Ochieng all the best in the contest.
He also labeled Mariga an outsider who knows nothing about the lives of the residents of the constituencies. He also slammed the Jubilee Party for fronting a candidate who lacks what it takes to beat his competitors in the contest.
"We wish Kibra voters a peaceful process tomorrow. We also wish all the candidates the best except Mr. Mariga. The race should have been between Mr. Imran and Madam Editar Ochieng(both from Kibra) but our nosy neighbors just couldn't resist the temptation to field a nonstarter," he tweeted.
Jubilee's Mariga has exuded confidence ahead of the election. The former footballer has pledged to transform the lives of the residents of Kibra if elected into office.
Mariga has pledged to ensure full utilization of the Community Development Funds ( CDF) as well as the initiation of projects to benefit the residents.
The race for the seat has pitted Deputy President William Ruto against ODM Leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
