The programme which has been airing on Gikuyu TV, is mostly dominated by Indian action movies with DJ Afro narrating the happenings, including translating foreign languages like Hindi to either Kiswahili or Kikuyu and/or maybe English.

The programme has been eliciting mixed reactions among viewers, attracting the attention of the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB).

The meeting between KFCB CEO Dr Mutua, DJ Afro and Gikuyu TV management resulted in the suspension of the programme until some changes, including the time of airing the programme are made.

It was also agreed that DJ Afro submits all his content for examination and classification by the board.

"The rationale behind content regulation is to promote Kenya’s culture, moral values and national aspirations and to ensure that children are protected from premature exposure to harmful and adult content," said Mutua.

The programme, which has been airing during the day, will have to be aired after the watershed period which runs between 5am and 10pm.

"Watershed period begins at 5am to 10pm, during this period, broadcast content on free-to-air radio and TV should be suitable for family viewing. @TheKimonda @EzekielMutua @CA_Kenya @fhersy @mucheru @MoICTKenya," read another tweet.
