A video of a Kenyan lady being taught how to speak Kiswahili by her 'mzungu' boyfriend has caused a buzz online.
In the video posted on Facebook by Nairobi Gossip Club on Wednesday, August 29, the 'mzungu' guy can be seen reading different words on his phone and asking his girlfriend their meaning.
“Niko apa leo na mpenzi wangu na leo nitamfundisha kuongea Kiswahili kwa sababu huyu ni slay queen na hajui Kiswahili ata kidogo," said the guy.
The first phrase was 'bora uhai', a common slogan among social media users which loosely translates to 'life is the only thing that matters'.
She, however, could not pronounce the two words neither did she know the meaning of the phrase.
The lady, however, got some of the phrases such as 'hakuna matata' correct.
