Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has termed President Uhuru Kenyatta as the most powerful president in the country’s history.
Abdullahi says that Uhuru is a political genius and knows how to neutralize his opponents.
Speaking on Citizen TV's Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) show on Wednesday, the lawyer said the March 9 handshake has made President Kenyatta more powerful.
“He is the most powerful president since independence because of how he has managed to neutralize his fierce opponents,” he said.
Abdullahi asked the president to take advantage of the situation to advance his development agenda and legacy.
“As we speak he does not have any opponents and it is to his advantage in terms of scaling development,” he said.
The lawyer said that the president has now the power do anything.
Abdullahi said that Uhuru has a chance to leave a good legacy at the end of his term in 2022.
President Kenyatta agreed to work together with Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the famous March 9 handshake.
Various leaders across the political divide lauded the handshake that restored the country's calm after the 2017 divisive general election.
