Controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna has fiercely criticized US President Donald Trump’s government following the revocation of International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Fatou Bensouda’s entry Visa.
According to the Self-Proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader, the US has no moral authority to make such a move and expect other countries in the world to comply with the ICC in the fight against any form of historical injustices.
He claimed that the US is behind the supplication of weapons and intelligence to Afghanistan. He faulted the US government for applying double standards as far as justice requirements are concerned.
“The USA has revoked Fatou Bensouda's visa for investigating Americans who committed war crimes in Afghanistan. They have supported and supplied weapons, logistics and intelligence to despots and known terrorists in the world. Say NO to double standards," he tweeted on Friday.
Bensouda was expected to investigate US forces of committing crimes in the foreign nation before the revocation was made.
"We can confirm that the US authorities have revoked the prosecutor's visa for entry into the US," read a statement from the office of the prosecutor as quoted by Al Jazeera.
The revocation has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different factions across the world.
