There was drama at Mabatini area in Moi University after a third-year student almost stabbed his ex-girlfriend during a heated argument.
According to a source who requested to remain anonymous, the third year lady famously known by the name of Moraa had gone to pick her belongings from the former boyfriend when she found him with another lady.
“The two had put their stuff together while breaking for December holiday last semester. Unfortunately, they broke up while on holiday and that is why the lady went to pick her things from the guy’s place but on reaching there, she found another lady and that’s where the fights began,” the source revealed.
The altercation which took place at popular apartments in Mabatini area known as ‘Kwa Kosgey’ turned violent when the ex-boyfriend grabbed a knife and threatened to stab the lady.
Locals moved in and separated the two before it was too late although the lady is reported to have sustained minor injuries.
The source further revealed that the two were summoned by the schools' administration to report to the university’s security (room 31).
“On Friday afternoon the two reported to the security office that is room 31 at the administration block. But as it appeared, there was no major action that was taken,” the source disclosed.
Comrades have been advised to always avoid violence.
It is such incidences that led to the formation of a club dubbed 'End Violence On Campus (EVOC)' which is aimed at reducing violence among students at the Kesses-based university.
