There was drama on Monday evening at Ekerenyo shopping centre in Nyamira county after two bodaboda riders clashed over a parking space.
Witnesses said the trouble started when Abel Riang'a arrived at the bodaboda stage and demanded Devis Osoro to 'squeeze' his motorbike to create space for him to park his motorcycle.
"Riang'a was drunk when he arrived at the stage and forcibly demanded Osoro to squeeze his motorcycle. When Osoro refused, Riang'a started insulting him prompting to the fight which lasted for over 10 minutes," said Lawrence Orero.
Orero said it took the intervention of the stage chairman Daniel Onyonka to stop the two from fighting.
According to Onyonka, the two riders will have to face the disciplinary committee.
"Riders who misbehave at the stage must appear before the stage disciplinary team for actions to be taken. We can't condone unnecessary fights which may end up scaring clients," he noted.
The stage chairman noted that Riang'a was injured on his forehead since he was drunk.
"Riang'a started trouble knowing he was drunk. He was taken to Ekerenyo health center for treatment following the injuries he sustained during the fight," he added.
