Samurai International beat Kenya Shujaa 21-14 to lift the 22nd edition main cup trophy of the 2018 Safari sevens final played on Sunday, at RFUEA grounds.

Samurai's win was their second Safari sevens title after their last win in 2015.

Ruan Mostert, Hugo Stiles, and Kurt- Lee scored a try each while Stiles made two conversations to ensure Samurai romp to victory and clinch their second title since 2015. 

Daniel Taabu and Johnstone Olindi scored two tries each before Taabu converted two conversions to spur Shujaa to a 14 - 7 half-time lead.

On resumption of the second half, Samurai scored two tries and conversion to take a lead of 21-14.

The victory was a sweet revenge for Samurai after losing 38 - 21 to Shujaa in 2016. Despite, of the loss, Shujaa remains the most successful team of Safari sevens series with 8 titles, since its inception in 1996.

Meanwhile, Kenya Morans finished 3rd with 12 - 5 beating of Spain in the play-off.

Samuel Motari and Mark Kwemoi scored a try each before Kwemoi converted his try while Juan Lucas Martinez scored the lone try for the Spaniards.
