Okong'o said Nyagarama should carry his own cross in ensuring striking health workers resume work.

"I am not ready to carry Nyagarama's cross. If he has failed to deliver and pay workers, he should resign without being pushed around," said Okong'o on Friday in the county.

The vocal Senator said Nyagarama has condoned corruption in his government something that has derailed development in the county.

He added that the Governor's failure to take action on the lazy finance workers should be blamed for causing the health workers strike.

"Nyagarama has seen other Governors sacking lazy workers but, he has failed to do so to streamline operations in his government. Let him carry his own cross and ensure the nurses who boycotted work due to payment issues return to work to continue serving locals," he noted.

Okong'o urged MCAs to be vigilant and ensure Nyamira residents get proper services failure to which they will be answerable in 2022 during the elections.

He promised that he will not condone the county government to embezzle funds meant for development purposes.

The Senator said Nyamira is lagging behind due to leadership wrangles between Nyagarama and his deputy Amos Nyaribo.
