England players reportedly risk of missing the start of the 2018-19 Premier League season following their continued presence in this summer's FIFA World Cup 2018 finals.

Gareth Southgate's men still have two more games to play in Russia with Croatia at first on Wednesday second semi-final at Luzhniki Stadium before either next Sunday's final or the third-place playoff on Saturday.

According to the Telegraph claiming that Three Lions' contingent may miss out the start of the new Premier League new campaign on August 10, just four weeks after 2018 FIFA World Cup final in Moscow.

England's start will supposedly be offered three weeks off to recuperate after the Mundial, before then building up their fitness and being integrated back into their club sides.

There are 40 Premier League players still currently at the competition in Russia with nine stars ply their trade with Tottenham Hotspur, seven for Manchester City and rival team Manchester United, while the Emirate FA Cup holder Chelsea have five and Champions League finalist Liverpool with four, Leicester City has two Arsenal, Burnley and relegated side West Bromwich Albion will also be affected.

This delay to be part of their teams on the start of the premier league season is likely to affect the teams whose key players are still at the world cup.
