University students have various methods that help them receive quick money from their parents.
Back in school, at Kenyatta University, there were many ways students used to ask for money from their parents for their use.
I once tried some of these dubious methods, which actually worked really fast.
Here are five common lies students give to receive money:
1. Trips
University students have always lied to their parents about compulsory trips to far places that require them to pay.
They tell their parents some weeks before the date of the fake trip so that they cannot raise suspicion.
This has always worked for most students.
2. Sickness
Most university students will fake sickness to ask for money from their parents.
They will tell them how the university has referred them to a public hospital which will require them to pay for the services.
Caring and unsuspicious parents will send the said money immediately.
3. Assignments
Students have assignments that need to be typed and printed.
Some students would do all these by themselves, while others who wanted to con their parents’ money would give high costs of doing the same.
Students have always exaggerated the amount of money required for typing and printing the assignments.
4. Registration in a club
Most students lie to their parents about fake registration money in various clubs in their school.
Being in a club at the university is not compulsory.
However, some students would tell their parents that it was mandatory and that some good cash was required for the registration.
