Through his recently published book 'Treason: The Case against Tyrants and Renegades', Miguna says that Buyu and Ruaraka Member of Parliament Tom Joseph (TJ) Kajwang’ wanted him to swear Joho in as ODM leader Raila Odinga’s ‘deputy’ during Raila’s ‘swearing in’ at Nairobi’s Uhuru Park on January 30, 2018.

“As Raila was speaking, Joho, Buyu and Kajwang’ were pulling my jacket from behind and insisting that I should swear Joho in as Raila’s deputy,” Miguna says in the book.

The lawyer who hails from Kisumu  says he declined, and eventually, Joho was not ‘sworn in.’

“I told them that I would not do it because that was not my instruction,” indicates the fierce lawyer.

Excerpts of the book have been shared through his social media platforms and many have elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans.

It seems the proposal to ‘swear in’ Joho arose from the ODM leaders after Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka failed to show up during the much publicized ‘swearing in.’

Attempts by this writer to hear from Buyu in relation to Miguna’s allegations did not bear fruit as her phone went unanswered.
