People are always looking for greener pastures in their job search. This is the same case among some Kenyan personalities who left good jobs in the media industry to take upstate jobs and politics. Here are the top 5 people who left their jobs for politics and state jobs:

2. Mohammed Ali
Mohammed Ali (Moha) was no doubt the most feared investigative journalist. Moha uncovered some of the top secrets deals in the country that left people amused. He left KTN to try his luck in politics. Luckily, he was elected Nyali Member of Parliament.
3. Sabina Chege
Muranga County Women Rep worked at Kameme FM and Coro FM as a news presenter. More so, she was a video vixen in one of John De’Mathew hit songs. She left the screen for politics and she has been elected women rep for the second consecutive time.
4. Gathoni Wa Muchomba
Kiambu County Women Rep worked at Kameme FM and Inooro FM. However, she ditched the media to try her luck in politics. She is the first ever Kenyan politician to hit the highest number of votes in Kenya after President Uhuru and NASA leader Raila Odinga who are voted for by the whole country.
5. Granton Samboja
Granton Samboja used to work at K24 as a journalist. However, he ditched the screen to try politics, and he defeated, then Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu in the 2017 gubernatorial race to become Taita Taveta Governor.
