Located a few kilometers from the CBD along the Nakuru-Subukia highway, the imitation of Washington DC's top house is more of a business stall, as opposed to the Presidential residence in US.

The wooden structure was put up by a Kenyan who had lived in the states for many years, and when he returned in the 90s, he decided to bring up his own version of the world’s most secure premise.

And to give it the actual face, he then painted it all white and hung several American flags at the entrance and walls, another was hoisted on the roof just like is the case in US's White House.

Being an entertainment joint which housed a bar then, he had all the tables branded with the names of all the American states.

The premises also had a list of all the US heads of state which still exists at the entrance.

Inside, it was divided into two portions to represent the two US political sides, the Republicans and the Democrats, where people with divergent ideologies would take their preferred sides.

So beautiful was the establishment, that people from all over the town would pass by just to admire its features, Daily Nation wrote.

However, upon its passage to a new owner in the 2000s, the premise has with time become an ugly building with poorly managed businesses.

It has also taken the image of a business stall, housing a merchandise shop, a bar and a gym, and obviously, not attractive as it used to be.
