Kibra residents are set to elect a new MP next week on Thursday, three months after the demise of Ken Okoth, who succumbed to cancer.

The region has experienced high octane campaigns for the last three months, with Deputy President William Ruto endorsing McDonald Mariga.

Team Embrace under the stewardship of Gladys Wanga pitched tent in the constituency and asked residents to endorse Mr Okoth.

"Currently in Kibra drumming up support for Benard Otieno Okoth together with colleagues from Team @embrace_ke #Okoth4Kibra #VoteOdm #MbelePamoja," Wanga had tweeted

Present during the campaigns were Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi, MPs Mishi Mboko (Likoni), Eve Obara (Kabondo Kasipul), Lilian Gogo (Rangwe) among others.

The team traversed the region in preparation for Raila Odinga's mega rally scheduled this Sunday across the constituency.

"Kibra residents today embraced members of Team Embrace who pitched tent in Constituency to campaign for our candidate Bernard Okoth who is seeking to replace the late Hon. Ken Okoth next week Thursday 7/11. The residents said they have confidence in Imran to take up the mantle," ODM tweeted.
