Political analyst Ambrose Weda has termed Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s ongoing woes as one of his life tests.
The county chief is facing charges of aiding in murder following his implication in the killing of Rongo University student, Sharon Otieno.
Speaking on KBC English Service on Wednesday morning, Weda noted that Obado could come out politically stronger should he survive the blow.
‘’It is normal for politicians to find themselves in such situations and in the event that he is confirmed innocent, then he will come out stronger politically,’’ said Weda.
‘’For every politician, there must be some test before elevation,’’ he added.
He, however, noted that the Governor would be in a very tough position in the instance that he is found guilty of the cruel murder of the second year Medical Records student.
‘’If he is found guilty then he will suffer,’’ observed the commentator who doubles up as an Advocate of the High Court.
Obado who is currently remanded pending the consideration of his bail application has since distanced himself from the murder and abduction that reportedly preceded it.
Also in police custody are several of his associates, including aides and a bodyguard, all of whom are also in with regards to the same.
