The prostitutes admitted that they employed the new tactic after it became impossible to spike patrons’ drinks since many became too familiar with the trick.

Now, here is what these sex workers do.

Smartly dressed, the women seduce unsuspecting men in entertainment joints and when everything seems to be going fine, a group of well-built men pounce and clobber the men, beat them up, robbing them money and valuables.

The men in group beat up the unsuspecting men claiming they are seducing their wives and taking them to bars.

"I was watching an a football match at a pub in Bamburi when I offered to buy drinks for two young ladies who I was a sharing a table with. As time progressed, I became too friendly with one of them who was readily accepting my overtures," Dennis told SDE.

He was not aware that a group of mean-looking muscled men were sitting at a corner watching him seducing the women. The men approached his table and caused a drama, claiming that he was with the wife of their friend who had not been at home for the past three days.

“The men descended on me with kicks, blows and poured all the drinks on the table, accusing me of wrecking their friend’s family. They even claimed I had been texting their friend’s wife at night and that I had sent a taxi to pick her on the material day she disappeared from home. All this time, “the wife” sobbed loudly, begging her “husband” not to kill her as she would never repeat the mistake again,” Kangethe recalls.

Later on, the seriously injured Dennis found out that he had lost Sh20,000 and a Samsung Galaxy phone in the ordeal.

Annette, one of the sex workers, empathized with men who go through that ordeal, but says: "men have become so stingy. They'll buy you drinks but will not give you money. We have no other choice but to use any trick to get the money.
