An elected Member of Parliament from Kisii county on Friday met Ida Odinga the wife to the former Prime Minister and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i broke the news of the meeting through his social media Facebook account.
The venue of the meeting remains unknown as the MP didn't disclose where they met.
"Interacting with Mama Ida Odinga. Soon I will host her to support one of our Nyaribari Chache Constituency women group organization," wrote the Jubilee lawmaker on his Facebook account.
Tong'i is perceived to be a close ally to Deputy President William Ruto.
A section of his followers congratulated him following the meeting.
Omanga Momanyi said; "Ndugu Richard N. Tongi , in a situation like this, take advantage and Organize all the women groups in the constituency and do a mega fundraiser for them. Having such an opportunity going just to one group will lessen the impact."
Another user Judith Kwamboka said; " That's a great idea mheshimiwa we are glad and we will be much grateful for considering we women too in the constituency development and much blessings to you mheshimiwa."
