This follows recent claims by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, linking him to the campaign aimed at flushing out dwellers from the water catchment zone.

However, speaking in Nyamira during the funeral service of area Governor John Nyagarama's son George Ndemo on Friday, Raila swept Murkomen's concerns aside, noting that the campaign will continue.

The former Prime Minister stated that Murkomen's lamentations will not derail the eviction, saying that more will follow.

"Those complaining should know that we are just getting started. They have not seen anything yet. More is set to follow," said the Orange party leader.

Speaking on Thursday while in the company of other Rift Valley leaders allied to the ruling Jubilee Party, Murkomen said that the eviction is inhumane, advising the evictees to return to their homes.

He accused Raila of using his entry into the Jubilee formation to do the same with an aim of undermining Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, adding that he is collaborating with a few insiders to accomplish the bid.

"This is being done by people who recently got into the government through the window in collaboration with some goons with a plan of undermining William Ruto," said the close Ruto ally.

He as well faulted Narok County Commissioner George Natembea for allegedly infringing on human rights in the process.
