President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth on Friday held talks.

 Uhuru appealed to investors from the foreign nation to consider Kenya as an investment hub for the wealth. 

He promised to accord them support as they seek to generate more wealth through a number of investment. He noted that he is committed to unlock the economic potential of Kenya in collaboration with his Mauritian counterpart.

“Both President Kenyatta and Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth of Mauritius stated their countries commitment to continue supporting the private sector by ensuring a conducive environment for enterprises to thrive,” he said.

Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in office, also asked Kenyan citizen to take advantage of the investors to develop themselves. He noted that the cordial ties between Kenya and the nation of Mauritian will transform economies of both.

“The President challenged the private sector to take advantage of the strengthening #KenyaMauritiusRelations to ensure that the two move up the economic value chain, create sustainable economies by accessing international markets and attract foreign direct investments @KEPSA_KENYA,” State House revealed.

The tour comes at a time when Uhuru is determined to leave behind a legacy before he retires from office in 2022.
