Speaking when he hosted the DP for a mass on Sunday, the bishop defended the DP from his critics under the Kieleweke tag, dismissing them as flies looking for rotting places.

On the other hand, he likened the DP to a bee, saying that Kieleweke's criticisms are misplaced and calling upon the DP to not give them any attention.

"William Ruto is like a bee, he is working while the others are like flies looking for rotting places. They are accusing him of roaming without acknowledging the work he doing, Mr Deputy President, continue roaming (William Ruto... ni kama Nyuki, anafanya Kazi, wengine ni kama nzi. Wanatafuta mahali pameoza, Wanasema anatangatanga...hawaoni kazi anafanya... Bwana Deputy President...endelea Kutangatanga...)," he said.

However, he has come out to clear the air on the same, saying that he was lauding the DP for a job well done across the country urging fellow leaders to emulate him.

He said that the tag was not specifically for the DP but all Christians working hard, at times having to pick good things from filthy places.

“And I gave an example of our Deputy President who goes around the country to oversee how government money is being spent as well as identifying what needs to be done,” he clarified.
