They need nutrients for them to grow healthy. Here are some foods that are essential to the health of your nails:

 1. Eggs

Eggs are of great benefit to the growth of the nails, thanks to the proteins in them. Nails need amino acids which are contained in eggs for them to grow. If you notice that your nails are becoming weak and brittle, consume as many eggs as you can to make them strong.

2. Water

Water is life, they say and it is important for the general health of our body. Our nails also need a lot of water because they need to be hydrated.

3. Berries

Generally, fruits are very essential in our bodies because of the nutrients and vitamins they contain. Berries such as blueberries and strawberries are full of these nutrients, vitamins and anti-oxidants which are important for the growth of nails. 

4. Vegetables

Green vegetables such as spinach, kales and broccoli are good for your nails. This is due to the iron contained in them. 

Nails need iron for them to grow healthy and strong. Other vegetables that are important for the growth of nails include tomatoes, potatoes and bell peppers.
