Diamond, who has a huge fan base in Kenya, was speaking during the launch of Wasafi Festival 2019 on Tuesday.

According to the Tanzanian pop star, one of the major objectives of Wasafi festival 2019 besides entertainment is to inform and educate youths.

"Informing each other on good things because there is life beyond entertainment. We as youths should guide each other in youthful ways that can help us outside entertainment (Kuabarishana mazuri kwa mara ya kwamba isiwe tu burudani lakini kiasi cha burudani kuna maisha baada ya burudani. Sisi vijana tukaelekezana kiujana vitu vingine ambavyo vinaeza kutusaidia nje ya burudani ),” Diamond stated.

The ‘Inama’ singer also revealed that Wasafi Festival had partnered with Global links to provide sponsorship to six students.

“We have our brothers from Global link with whom his year we will give out workshops to not less than six people to purse tertiary education through Wasafi festival (Tuko na ndugu zetu wa global link ambao mwaka huu tunaoa workshops za watu kwenda kusoma elimu ya juu si chini ya watu sita kupitia wasafi festival)," he said.
