Dr Stella Bosire who rejected Governor Mike Sonko's nomination to be Nairobi County's Health CEC has given a grim account of how she was drugged and nearly robbed along Moi Avenue.
Speaking in an interview with the Daily Nation, Dr Bosire revealed that she was drugged after spending time at Nyayo House in a bid to renew her passport.
"Often, you hear stories of people drugged on the streets or in clubs or in buses told on social media. Many times, it’s a post on Facebook or a WhatsApp forward, and you don’t give it a thought, until it happens to you, " she told the Daily Nation.
As she took a stroll, she met with two women who stretched their hands out to greet her. She took one of the women's' hands after deciding that she was harmless.
"I declined but just as fast, the one on my left greeted me while smiling. I scanned her quickly and concluded that she meant no harm as she was smartly dressed. So I greeted her back… shook her hand, " noted Dr Bosire.
It is then that her legs felt weak and she became dizzy.
The experience plunged her into a state of trauma after coming around.
