Leadership wrangles in Nyamira County has taken a new twist after Governor John Nyagarama disowned claims by his Deputy Amos Nyaribo that there are differences between them.
According to Nyagarama, he has heard Nyaribo's claims in the media but, Nyaribo has not approached him formally.
"I have no any problem with my deputy who left the county for India for treatment. The claims that there are differences between us are untrue and I am ready once he returns from India we sit down and discuss," he said.
Nyagarama reiterated that he remains the county boss and what he is interested in is to ensure constituents get access to quality services.
"I am the governor in this county. I will not be afraid what my opponents will say since Nyamira gave me the opportunity yo serve them. It is time elected leaders should focus on serving the electorates," he stated.
Nyagarama said his government will not condone corruption whatsoever.
He vowed to fight corruption and sack county workers who will be caught engaging in corruption dealings.
"Corrupt county officers must go home. Appointment of county staff should be done legally, be approved only by me and be suspended or sacked by my approval," he added.
