Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has joined other leaders and politicians in condoling Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who is mourning his father's death.
Duale in a statement said that he is deeply saddened by the death of Kalonzo’s father who he described as a peacemaker.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Kalonzo and his family as he mourns the death of his father, Mzee Peter Musyoka Mairu,” Duale said.
On Sunday, President Uhuru Kenyatta led leaders in mourning Kalonzo’s father.
Other leaders who sent their condolences to Kalonzo’s family include Deputy President William Ruto, ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
Kalonzo’s dad is said to have died last Saturday at the Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with illness.
Makueni Governor Professor Kivutha Kibwana who is the family spokesperson says that burial arrangements are ongoing and will be communicated later.
