Magara claimed that the country has not moved on even after the handshake because Kenyans are suffering hiked prices of commodities.

"There is nothing Kenyans can celebrate about the handshake because it is after the handshake the government has been hiking prices of products. Hike in fuel prices is bad for poor Kenyans struggled each day to earn a living," he said.

Magara said loyal families in the country are the only beneficiaries of the called handshake.

"Common mwananchi has not benefited from the fake handshake. We thought life will be better after the handshake but, it is worsening each day," he noted.

The vocal politician condemned legislators, accusing them of betrayal during a press conference on Tuesday in Kisii.

"MPs are enjoying earning salaries yet their employers are struggling with poverty in villages. It is time the lawmakers should consider representing the electorates and ensure unnecessary hiking of commodities' prices is brought down," he stated.

He urged elected leaders from Gusii region to embrace unity.
