Kisii Governor James Ongwae has called on elected leaders from Gusii region to ignore political losers and focus on serving the electorates.
The ODM party allied governor reiterated that the electorates doesn't deserve to be underrepresented.
"I am urging elected leaders who are in office to ignore a section of local politicians who lost during the last year's polls and concentrate in serving voters. Those engaging in divisive politics won't be spared by the law," he noted.
Mr Ongwae challenged MPs and MCAs to support the two devolved unit, Nyamira and Kisii Counties for the sake of boosting the livelihoods of locals.
"MPs and MCAs should stop fighting me and my friend Governor John Nyagarama of Nyamira County. I am requesting the leaders to step up and offer necessary support which will see the lives of our people boosted," he added.
He asked Interior CS Fred Matiang'i to arrest local leaders inciting locals to cause mayhem.
"Mr Matiang'i must arrest anyone inciting locals. As leaders we should embrace unity and be peace ambassadors," said Ongwae.
He was speaking on Friday at Nyamaiya, Nyamira County.
