While the pair reconciled days after 2017 elections, they have however not met for a meeting at the personal level.

Lead campaigner David Ogwagwa confirmed Ruto's Sunday trip to South Rift, adding that it's about 'gather all, scatter none' meeting.

"Governor Ruto will host Deputy President William Ruto in Sunday in Bomet and preparations are in top gear.

"It's about gather all, scatter none and we are happy to speak from the same script. This is just but the start," he said.

Incidentally, the meeting comes few weeks after a powerful delegation of Rift Valley leaders led by Uasin Gishu boss Jackson Mandago visited Mr Ruto at his Chepalungu home.

A source intimated that the DP is keen to have Isaac Ruto's CCM party as an alternative should he be blocked in Jubilee.

"You must always have alternatives and the meeting was about revamping CCM for DP's future use in case of frustrations," a source had said.
