Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has asked DeputyPresident William Ruto to surrender any controversial land and property he owns.
According to Ngunyi, such a move will aid in the war against corruption.
Through The 5th Estate talk show, Mutahi said Ruto should not resist the possible onslaught on any illegal property including the Weston Hotel.
"The cost of losing a few buildings without a fight is nothing compared to the price of becoming the president," Mutahi stated.
Mutahi further alleged that Ruto is a target of the state and he should not act as a stumbling block.
"Ruto should not interrupt the State aggression towards him. A man who says we can't fix corruption in this country should not interrupt the man fixing corruption," he added.
The analyst further raised concern about possible contradictions in the war against corruption. He warned that desired results might not be achieved.
"If there is a war on corruption, the drums of war have become louder than the war itself. The dramatic arrests and the demolitions have become louder than the merit of the cases presented in court," Mutahi said.
Recently reports have emerged indicating that Ruto's Weston Hotel sits on public land.
