Last week, Mr Sudi accused Dr Matiang'i of favouring a section of Jubilee leaders, adding that the powerful minister has ill intentions against Dr William Ruto.

"I want to warn Matiang'i against discriminating politicians allied to DP William Ruto. His theatrics will not last for long. It's either he acts fairly or we handle him," Sudi said.

The interior Ministry has been on spot for allegedly withdrawing security officers attached to politicians allied to Ruto, a claim with PS Karanja Kibicho dismissed as propaganda.

At Ekerenyo on Tuesday, nominated MCA George Mosiori asked Mr Sudi to concentrate on serving his constituents, adding that politicking is not welcome.

"It's pointless for Sudi to wage unnecessary war against Matiang'i. We are all in Jubilee and we haven't seen the minister engaging in politics. Let the MP just respect the minister," he said.

Bomwagamo MCA Charles Barongo vowed to protect Dr Matiang'i, adding that if need be, Nyamira residents could back him for presidency.

"We are disappointed with endless politicking. Those opposed to Dr Matiang'i should face off with us. Let the minister work for the people of Kenya. We are tired with the accusations."

Powerful Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and Petroleum and Energy Chief Administrative Secretary John Morangi were present during the function.
