A Nyamira based politician has picked war with MPs serving in the 12th Parliament.
Victor Swanya accused the MPs for putting their interest first instead of giving priority to the electorates' interests.
Swanya said the decision by MPs to push election date from August to December is selfish.
"I disagree with MPs' plans to push election date from August to December. The MPs are lazy only interested to remain in office for long to earn salaries. The 2010 constitution should be respected and election be held on August as by the constitution," he said.
Swanya who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitutu Masaba MP seat said President Uhuru Kenyatta should reject the Bill when MPs will take it to him to sign to push the election date.
"President Uhuru should intervene and reject the selfish MPs' plans to push election date from August to December.
"MPs should be stopped from prioritizing their stomachs and serve the electorates who sent them to Parliament to represent them," he said.
The Wiper Party vice chairman regretted that the electorates will continue suffering paying huge taxes on salaries.
He was speaking on Thursday when he attended a funeral at Nyaikuro area in Nyamira County.
