Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga is set to receive his honorary doctorate next month; this is according to an advert in a local newspaper featured under the MyGov pages.
According to the advert, Raila will be conferred with an honorary degree by the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University.
The honorary degree of Doctor of Sciences will be awarded to the opposition chief on 14 December 2018 for contribution in public service, leadership and expansion of the democratic spaces in Kenya.
“The University Senate has therefore determined that the Right Honorable Odinga is worthy of the conferment of Honorary Degree of Doctor of Sciences (Honoris Causa),” read the advert.
The Jaramogi Oginga Odinga honorary degree will now add to the long list of academic and honorary degrees the opposition premier possesses. #hivisasaoriginal
