Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana now wants politicians to stop politicking in churches.
Kibwana said that politicians should find other places to take politics but not the church.
Speaking at Donholm Deliverance Church, on Transformational leadership on Tuesday, the county boss observed that some leaders have invaded the pulpit turning it to a campaign platform thus invalidating its purpose of worship.
He advised Kenyans to vet their leaders without considering the huge handouts they give to charm the public and more so the church.
"If you see people giving handouts anywhere, be sure they will do everything within their reach to recover their money. That's what has brought out the runaway corruption ravaging our country," Kibwana said.
When asked whether he is serious on vying for the presidency in 2022, he noted that that was a matter that he needs to seriously pray about.
The governor has recently locked horns with a section of Wiper politicians after dismissing party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's presidential bid.
Some leaders from Ukambani had asked him to respect Kalonzo pointing out that he was the only viable choice for presidency from the region.
