Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu on Saturday went on each over the 2022 Presidency.
The two politicians had accompanied Deputy President William Ruto in Karatina during the free medical camp organized in memory of Nyeri's first governor Nderitu Gachagua.
Other leaders who were in attendance were Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga and her deputy Caroline Karugu, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa, Laikipia MP Cate Waruguru and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi.
When Kuria took to the stage, he accused Waititu of abusing him for declaring his interest for the 2022 presidential election.
He maintained that he would be on the ballot as the constitution allows him.
'Some governors like Waititu abused me in Meru for declaring my candidature. I want to tell them that I will not be vying in anyone wife's home but will vying because law allows me to do so," Kuria said.
When Waititu took to the podium he downplayed Kuria's move adding that Kiambu people were prepared for 2022 elections.
He added that his remarks in Tharaka Nithi county were only meant to end confusion and that his people were fully behind Deputy President William Ruto.
'What I said yesterday is that Kiambu people are prepared and I never meant to stop Moses Kuria. Let Kuria say whatever he wants, if his wife's house can be run by another man, mine is totally different," Waititu responded.
