Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday urged his fellow politicians to avoid being violent and abusive in popularizing the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
The Deputy President pointed out that the BBI report is meant to unite Kenyans.
DP Ruto claimed that the leaders should prioritize public participation in the BBI report instead of politicking on the matter citing that Kenyans should also air out their recommendations on how to bring about development.
"BBI matters are meant to unite Kenyans. Let's stop being violent and abusive. Lets put a plan in place that will ensure very Kenyans gets a chance to contribute their thoughts and contributions on how we shall move forward in unity and cooperate on how to include development in our country of Kenya.
Ruto's sentiments come just a day after violence was witnessed in Mombasa just before the BBI rally took place.
