Anxiety has raised high for students in Moi University as exam period begin early next week.
Most students at Moi University and its satellite campuses are expected to start their exams on Monday. The exams are expected to run on for a period of two weeks.
Arrangements to accommodate the four groups currently on the session was completed before the semester commenced. Most of the students had initially overstayed home due to various reasons ranging from the national wide lectures’ strike to long holidays in the institution.
A picture from the institution has turned out to be a meme and has been doing rounds on social media attracting the attention of students and fun reactions at the same time.
From the picture that was captured from the Kesses-based university students' centre, bazar rows of arranged seats are seen, spaced equally awaiting students on Monday.
The captions on the picture are hilarious with an ironical tone, 'Destiny awaits' with a laughing emoticon embedded on it, followed by a hashtag; '#current situation in MU'.
Students in public universities are well identified with the use of dubious and underground methods that are deployed in examination rooms like the use of 'mwakenya' and copying from their friends.
In Moi University, if one is found with these malpractices during the exam period, he/she is summoned by the university senate and if proven guilty, he/she is suspended for a thousand academic days exclusive of weekends and long holidays.
