Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama said presidency should not be for only dominant communities.

The vocal lawmaker insisted that Matiang'i has shown good leadership qualities which qualifies him for the country's top seat.

"The Gusii community as all it takes to produce the president in this country. Matiang'i is ripe and I will mobilize the community leaders to push and ensure Matiang'i is in the ballot," he said.

Arama said it is high time minority groups to show dominant communities that the top seat doesn't belong to one, two or three tribes.

The ODM rebel MP said it is barbaric for dominant communities to continue using minority communities when it comes to Presidency.

"These dominant communities are passionately talking about 2022 presidential race as if other communities including Kisii which has produced the most hardworking Cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i, have no capacity to produce a presidential candidate," the vocal legislator said.

According to the lawmaker, politicians from dominant communities should stop retrogressive and selfish thinking
