Police in Nakuru have launched a manhunt for a man in whose house two school girls were found on Monday.
The two, aged 14 and 15, are students at Kenyatta Secondary and Uhuru Secondary in Nakuru.
They are in Form One and Two respectively.
According to family sources, the two went missing on Saturday after leaving their Rhonda house to go attend a wedding at their church.
They never set foot in the wedding.
A search for the two by their classmates bore fruits and they were found in a house in Ngata.
The owner of the house was identified by the students as an untrained teacher who was involved in a science congress where the students were participating.
Kenyatta Secondary head teacher Amos Gamba also dismissed reports that the suspect is a teacher."We only have government teachers in the school.
The suspect is a former student and not as alleged. We are cooperating with the police on the matter," Gamba said.
The girls’ father George Njeru said they suspect the man involved drugged the girl.
“They couldn’t understand anything at the time they were found and as we took them to the police station. They had recovered by Tuesday morning but couldn’t recall what had happened to them,” the father said.
The two received treatment in a Nakuru hospital as investigations continue.
