There has been a debate on the issue of a majority of modern women young women going after older men, popularly referred to as 'sponsors'.
Some of these illicit relationships have ended in tragedy with the young ladies being brutally murdered by their alleged sponsors. This is an issue that some male university students have taken advantage of to scare their female comrades from dating the older men.
A section of university divas in Eldoret town has, however, come out to dismiss the narrative that they prefer older men to the young and energetic comrades.
They said they prefer stable single middle-aged men because of these three reasons;
Experienced
The university students said they fall for these kinds of men because they are much experienced than their fellow comrades who are always eager of the bedroom matters.
Chelagat, a second-year female student, narrated that in the first year, she did not experience any deep love and concern from a third-year guy until she got a banker working within Eldoret town.
"We used to meet after lectures daily where he would hug and kiss me, then walk me to my hostel room. I was fed up with the hostel to hostel relationship and I opted for Vincent, 28," said Chelagat.
Ready for a hand in marriage
According to the university ladies, stable single middle-aged men are always ready for marriage and won't use them as sex machines. A majority of university guys are only interested in getting the ladies between the sheets and never promise them any future. This has caused many unplanned pregnancies among university ladies with some opting for abortion.
"I did get pregnant to a second-year guy when I was in the first year and I ended up bringing up the child alone after the guy denied and disappeared," Beatrice said.
They are faithful
Many guys in the university leave their girlfriends after every intake, to get newly enrolled students, a clear view of their unfaithfulness, unlike the other stable guys who stick with one lady.
"It's better to have a ten-year-old guy than me than to walk around with these university unfaithful guys and get Sexually Transmitted Infections(STIs)," Mary said.
