This, however, follows recent threats by former Jubilee Party Vice Chair David Murathe that he will move to the Supreme Court to stop Ruto's presidential bid.

In an interview on Milele FM's 'Kivumbi Show' Tuesday morning, Muluka observed that Murathe's argument that Ruto has served two presidential terms will backfire on him.

He said that Ruto has never been a President and has no legal barrier on his way, terming Murathe a joker who is wasting his time.

"Asilete mambo ya mzaha maana Ruto hajakuwa Rais. Kuenda kwake kortini kutakuwa kuharibu wakati wake na wa mahakama (nothing stops Ruto from vying, Murathe should not waste his time going to court)," he advised.

He noted that Ruto is in office as the Deputy President and cannot be barred from seeking his own election to the top seat in the much awaited polls.

Murathe is of the opinion that the terms of Uhuru and Ruto run concurrently and since both will have served for 10 years in 2022, then it will be unlawful for Ruto to break the two term presidential limit clause.

He has since vowed to use each and every avenue at his disposal to prevent a William Ruto presidency.
