Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has pointed out that Kenyans will be looking for a conclusion of cases that are facing governors.
Mudavadi was commenting on the troubles that are facing Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Samburu's Moses Lenokulal and Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu) who were barred from accessing their offices by the courts over graft charges they are facing.
According to the former Vice President, it is not enough to take individuals facing graft allegations to court, and that it is important for them to be dealt with in accordance with the law.
"I think what Kenyans are now looking for will be the conclusion of some of these cases. You know, not just take people to court but have them dealt with logically, procedurally and in conformity with the law and then brought to an end," Mudavadi told Citizen TV during an interview on Saturday.
The ANC leader also insisted that the conclusion of the graft cases will act as a determinant of whether the government is serious about the war against corruption or not.
"So if that does not come through in the next few months, then one will really ask whether we are on top of the war against corruption or we are losing it," Mudavadi added.
