Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader has confirmed that he will contest in the 2022 general elections.
Mudavadi who hails from Western Kenya is seeking to be a flag bearer of whichever coalition he will be in.
Mudavadi who has previously contested in a presidential election was speaking at the homecoming ceremony for Mungoma MCA Wycliffee Masini that was held at Mudavadi Girls in Vihiga sub-county.
The politician went ahead to cite some of the economic challenges that the country is experiencing.
“Factories that have been serving as our economic pillars are now crippled leaving us in poverty," he stated.
"Mumias is gone. Pan Paper now has remained in the books of history while for Muhoroni and Chemelil, their fate is not known. We are left with the option of begging. We need to work as a team to protect our economy," he added.
Mudavadi further criticised the Jubilee government for not fulfilling its promise to Kenyans.
According to Mudavadi, the country has been affected by the poor decision that the electorate made during the election.
Mudavadi has become a topic of discussion in regard to the 2022 presidential election especially after launching his book that highlights his political career.
