A United States of America based activist has sensationally claimed that his payment exceeds that of a regular professor in the University of Nairobi, the largest higher learning institution.
Mr Ombori Monari, a fierce critic of DP William Ruto, dismissed the latter's supporters from Gusii, accusing them of being enslaved by Dr Ruto for political capital.
"Some of you are very desperate. You where very cheap suits and you just sing Ruto to get Sh1,000. I want to assure you he want make it in Gusii. His conduct is questionable and I am sure he will fail," he claimed.
According to him, Kenyans living in America are extremely learned and have often supported Nairobi's economy. He argued that his pay exceeds that of a professor, the most learned people.
"Kenyans working in America are learned. They have educated their children. You can't compare their credentials with that of Ruto which is questionable. We pump a lot of money to Kenyan economy. We are well paid than professors. A professor in University of Nairobi earns far much less than me," he said, adding that Ruto will not make it iin 2022.
Mr Ombori is among leading opposition activists in US and closely works with Samuel Okemwa, another critic of Ruto and leader of Abagusii community in the diaspora.
In 2017, the two were integral campaigners for Raila Odinga and were seen in many campaigns across Kisii and Nyamira Counties. Mr Ombori has challenged Gusii youths to drop their support for Ruto.
