Deputy President William Ruto will beat the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga hands down in 2022 presidential race, a NASA affiliated MCA has claimed.
Thomas Nyangaresi on Saturday while speaking at Igonga insisted that Raila will not beat DP Ruto in an election.
"The way Raila has been carrying himself around since he agreed to shake hands with President Uhuru Kenyatta tells a lot. I can confirm that the ODM party leader won't beat DP Ruto in 2022 State House bid," he said.
Nyangaresi who unsuccessfully vied for the Bomariba ward MCA seat on ANC party ticket reiterated that Raila is not ready to win the presidency.
"Raila is not ready to become President because he has been moving around with Jubilee leaders (Ruto and Uhuru) instead of focusing on strengthening the opposition coalition ahead of 2022," he added.
The vocal politician called on politician allied to ODM to pressure Raila to retire from active politics and enjoy his pension in peace.
He argued that opposition may not win Presidency in 2022 if Raila will insist vying against DP Ruto.
"Ruto is more strategic and ready to win the presidency while Raila is busy sleeping. The opposition will only clinch presidency if Raila goes home before 2022," he noted.
